They had a promotion going on for $50 haircut and blow dry. With the holidays coming up, I thought that was a great deal and decided to treat myself. My stylist washed my hair for maybe 3 minutes max, no massage, no scrub just a quick shampoo, condition and rinse. I got into her chair where she brushed two strands of my hair, takes out another brush and asks me to help her…. She cut my hair like I had asked but mind you it was just a trim with a few face framing layers just at the front. She then leans on her stand and goes “now for the blow dry I’ll just do the front pieces”. I let her know that it’s cold outside and I didnt want my hair to freeze. She “styled” my front pieces with the round brush but then loosely blow dried the rest so it wasn’t soaking wet but still damp. Terrible terrible experience and I won’t be going back. I understand you get what you pay for but come on, I might as well gone to first choice. Would not recommend .

I went in just for a dry styling. Hair dresser didn’t brush my hair before curling. My hair was a mess, frizzy and tangled . Will not be returning.

So far, I’ve been dealing with very nice employees at that hair salon for booking appointments for my upcoming wedding. Vivian took the time to clearly understand what I wanted and gave me some ideas and welcome advices for my engagement photoshoot. I’m definitely going back for my wedding day 🙂

Angie always does a great job everytime I come in. She is always so nice, friendly with good conversation.
The one thing I didn't like is there is always this creepy guy hanging around in Total Salon but never doing anything except whispering things to the staff. He might be the owner or boss but there is nothing to identify him as that.

Friendly staff, but run very unorganized had an appointment and got a call from them 15 min before the appointment ( I was in the parking lot) To cancel and change the appointment to an hour later, waist of my time, this happened more than once, off to a better run salon.

The receptionist is extremely rude and unprofessional. I called today to ask about the service they provide and she didn’t even let me finish my sentence before she replied that they don’t provide that. She talked over me a few times. She also replied that she doesn’t understand me speaking even though she has a super heavy accent herself. Later she told me that I have to call back in few days to speak with the owner, because she doesn’t know the answer to my question. Ridiculous.

As a client of 25+ years, I highly recommend Total Beauty Essentials in Oakville Place! Abla always does a great job on my hair…. From a super shampoo and massage to great cut and colour! Very friendly, professional atmosphere… and great music!
