This used to be a hidden gem but I guess it got too popular. We don't really come anymore now that they don't refill growlers and there's a $8.50 seating fee to sit inside. The patio is nice though in the summer months. The beer and pizza are really delicious, but the food is expensive with a long wait.

We had been jumping brewery to brewery throughout the day. We had been to Charlottesville (awesome brewery!), Eco Reserve (great service and atmosphere). We had been to a few in Hamilton area that were great also. The 4 of us usually map out a brewery tour on random weekends so to say we have been to a tonne throughout Ontario North, South, East, West is not far off the mark.

We had not had a great experience on our previous visit a while back so we thought we'd give it another chance. As others had attempted to do in other reviews.

I dropped my wife and our friends off at door to park. They were already walking out by the time I came in. All we wanted was to sit in restaurant area and have a pint. My buddy said after hesitation from the one girl working the owner interjected and said they have reservations at 6 so they can't accommodate. It was 1:30 in the afternoon!! Not sure how the 2 already sitting at restaurant got in but it was a ghost town. My buddy already got a bad vibe so he was somewhat prepared for a negative experience.

At the end of the day I think any negative rating is going to have similar excuses from the establishment. I am self employed and would started liquidating my staff if I even caught wind of this type of service - let alone be the owner who echos the same experience.

We will never return no matter what the response is if any. Terribly run, staffs give a shit factor is 0, and ambiance is terrible.

There are 100's above 100's of legit breweries in Ontario and surrounding area that well deserve the business from us.

Good luck - your gonna need it!

Update - if anyone wants a heads up, the below response is utter BS and I nearly never go this deep or provide reviews anywhere. I just don't return but this place is a gong show.

My friend introduced me to this place a year or so ago when I was visiting. The young lady in the bottle shop explained to us about their refillable growler option and I paid a premium amount (at least an extra $20) to have the refillable container. She said we could bring it back and have it refilled anytime.
So, on Friday, we returned only to have the owner insist, in a very rude and dismissive manner, that they haven’t done this in 4 to 5 years. When we tried to explain that it was just last year his staff had sold this to us (bottle clearly marked with their name!), he doubled down on his insistence and rudeness. When I asked for the deposit back, he refused to give me the money or take back the bottle, stating “any microbrewery will refill it” (except theirs?!?!?!?!) and said they don’t do it anymore because they can't keep up with demand! (As we stood in the empty business).
So, apparently customer service is not even a consideration and the $20 and being “right” is more important.
Zero stars. We won’t be back.

EDIT: I have eaten at this location once before. The service was extremely slow and the food was, at best, forgettable and overpriced. Inherent in "atmosphere" is how you treat your customers. Again, zero stars isn't an option, unfortunately.

After doing some checking, most places WON'T refill someone else's growler and this expensive "collector's item" is now at the local recycling facility as I no longer had a use or a desire to keep it as a reminder of this extremely negative interaction.

As for the "business model", there was literally not one customer there except us and we left empty-handed and unhappy when it was our intention to stay and have a drink.

Doubling down on being "right" rather than taking customer feedback to make necessary changes (rudeness and lack of customer service/satisfaction seems to be a common theme) will likely be the downfall of this brewery. Unfortunate.

We visited early July 2024 as part of a day trip to breweries in the area. On arrival to the old school building the first impression was a neglect of landscaping. Entering the front door you are left to wonder if you are at a brewery. We were met by a hostess and asked if we wanted to sit indoors or patio. We wanted a break from the heat so asked for indoor. The host took is to the very small space which is very tastefully decorated and had a very cool vibe….but upon getting to the door another staff person didn’t want us to be seated inside and we were questioned what we wanted….just a quick beer. So they “allowed it”.
There were 3 female staff working around the bar and a chef here and there.
It took 10 minutes for us to be asked what we wanted. Two females just stood behind the bar while the other female was working her tail off inside and outside. From the posted beer list I made my choice and then told they didn’t have it, then said second choice and it too was unavailable. So they then told me what they did have.
Beer arrived, drank it quick as it was clear we weren’t valued for coming to their establishment. Asked to pay, and the two females behind the counter said they couldn’t help. After a longer then needed wait our server cashed us out and we departed and left disappointed. I’ve been to 90+ Craft Breweries throughout Ontario and this one is close to the bottom. These venues are usually amazing places to interact with staff and brewers themselves and they are appreciative of the business but we didn’t get that here; we were made to feel as an interruption. Beer was Ok, 3/5. It has potential but on our visit they missed the mark. Or maybe “craftheads” aren’t their target audience. Meuse and Charlotteville hit the nail on the head with the experience and customer service and made the trip worthwhile.

Great experience even tho we met them last minute and reservation was a bit late. Jo and Yvonne have been very patient with us. The food was amazing, the place and set up was exceptional, service was great too. Our guests loved everything. Our small gathering post wedding because of your family was a success. My husband and I are very thankful. We will definitely visit again when we’re back in Canada.

Last night we decided to take a drive out to New Limberg Brewing Company for a drink and something to eat. This place is in an old school house seemingly in the middle of nowhere between Simcoe and Delhi. As you walk in you enter an empty area with tables in it. You continue walking to the left where you are then greeted by the friendly staff. So I will be 100% transparent with you about the next part which is also the reason for a 3 star atmosphere rating. So the staff asked us if we were there for beer or if we wished to dine in. Of course we said we were looking to dine in. I was completely thrown off by the fact that there is a seating fee of $8.50 per person. The reason on the menu was to give the best experience. I have never ever come across a seating fee before. We reluctantly agreed to the seating fee and were then seated. It was a way fancier dining experience than I was expecting also and I felt a little under dressed. The ambiance was warm, cozy and a little upscale. The food (which was the reason we went) is inspired by dutch and Indonesian culture. There were staples of dutch fare like croquettes, bitterballen, and of course raw herring with onions. There was also of course a range of french fry options including toppings like mayo, curry and peanut sauce. They also have really good pizza options as well if you aren't feeling adventurous. The boy had a dutch meat pie which was a lot like a shepherd's pie but with curry spices. I opted for the greek pizza which was absolutely delicious. The dough is probably one of the best I have ever had. If you aren't into the seating fee and just want to try the beer. You can sit in the hall (much like being punished at school as a kid haha) and enjoy a flight from a table out there. I tried the Belgian Blond, Petit Blond,Wit and Grisette and enjoyed them all very much. All in all we had a really nice time. So if you are looking for a bit of adventure and to try something new THIS is the place to go.

Amazing food quality, beer selection and atmosphere. All five stars. Had the bitterballen, spring rolls and baked Brie as apps and Nasi Goreng as a main one day then went back the same weekend for chicken wings and pizza. So good we went twice in one weekend. Thank you!

I thoroughly enjoyed my afternoon here on the patio. Tried a flight and a Belgian Blonde. Discovered that you can cycle here via bicycle trails and visit other wineries and breweries as well. The public school building set up is intriguing and inviting. Nice bar inside and outdoor patio.
