I had a bit of a unique situation - dozens of candles with no wicks in them - (it's a long story) and the Owner was *incredibly* helpful with a solution and some advice on how to make it work. If this is how the store helps a complete rookie at this sort of thing, I can only imagine the level service a professional would get. Highly recommended!

I've been a customer since 2004 because of their consistently excellent quality essential oils and every other product that I've purchased, very reasonable prices, mail orders arrive quickly and staff are knowledgeable and friendly. I've tried other suppliers but found MLM essential oils are outrageously expensive, and mystery-brand essential oils on Amazon are hit and miss quality. Save your money and buy from Nascent Naturals. You'll be a repeat customer too!

I am so lucky to have been introduced to Nascent. An amazing quaint and clean store with lots personality and very nice and informative staff. I have scoriasis and have had a lot of bad experience with using products that I was told were "pure" and would not irritate my skin....wrong. thank God Nascent Naturals is the real deal and if you are skeptical there is a wonderful and informative staff that can provide you with actual facts of the ingredients used or of which are not included. I wouldn’t say that it’s very professional to offer a response such as the one you gave me but since we are doing this.
I went into your store very politely the first time, explaining that I had accidentally bought all of the wrong items - if you did not accept the return it would basically go to waste along with my money (which would be a shame).
You proceeded to tell me that you couldn’t accept the items incase I had opened them and ‘spit’ in them. I tried to reassure you that they had not been touched, there was another man in there at the time who had prompted me to take my items out of the bag to show you that they were unopened and still sealed - he could tell that I was not in the wrong as he smiled and winked at me to give me reassurance as he was leaving. I was in no way being aggressive or ‘plunking’ things on the counter at this point.
I wanted to make the process as easy as possible adding in comments like ‘whatever makes this easiest for you guys’ and ‘you can even keep the donation that I gave’.

I understand the situation, but if a refund was not possible at the time, perhaps an exchange or store credit could have been offered, or taking steps such as calling the manager - anything to make the customer happy and prevent situations like that from escalating. If a customer lives out of town, how can you just expect them to be able to ‘come back on Monday’.

I did get angry and frustrated towards the end of the encounter and I am able to acknowledge that. I have worked in retail many times myself and something I have always been taught is that ‘the customer is always right’. If I had made my purchase at a large corporation such as Walmart this probably wouldn’t have happened.

Called in at the store in Midland just before Christmas. Bought very good quality scentless soap and lotions. Just ordered an essentially oils assortment and can’t wait to try them out.
