Excellente expérience au restaurant libanais El Gourmet ! La qualité de la nourriture est incroyable, surtout les Machawi de kafta, un vrai délice. Le service est à la fois professionnel et attentionné, toujours à l’écoute des clients. Ce qui rend l’endroit encore plus spécial, c’est la section boucherie où l’on peut acheter de la viande tendre et du kafta préparé avec des épices savoureuses. Il y a aussi une épicerie sur place. Un lieu magique où l’accueil chaleureux et les sourires vous donnent envie de revenir. Une vraie perle de la cuisine libanaise !

Excellent experience at this Lebanese restaurant El Gourmet! The quality of the food is incredible, especially the Kafta Machawi—absolutely delicious. The service is both professional and attentive, always making sure the customers are well taken care of. What makes this place even more special is the butcher section where you can buy tender meat and kafta, prepared with flavorful spices. There’s also a grocery section on-site. A magical spot where the warm smiles and kindness of the staff make you want to come back again. A true gem of Lebanese cuisine!

I had the pleasure of working with El Gourmet for a recent special event, and I couldn’t be happier with the entire experience. From the very start, Tamara and Maya were incredibly helpful and professional, guiding me through the planning, preparation, and delivery process with care and attention to detail.

A special shoutout to Tamara for going above and beyond to ensure every aspect was perfect. She was always available to answer questions, provide suggestions, and accommodate every request with such grace and expertise. The execution on the day of the event was flawless, thanks to her hard work and dedication.

The serving staff, particularly Dareen, were fantastic—friendly, attentive, and professional. They ensured that everything ran smoothly and made the evening even more enjoyable for everyone.

The food was a massive hit! All our guests couldn’t stop complimenting the delicious flavors and the beautiful presentation. El Gourmet truly exceeded our expectations in every way. And on top of it all, their pricing was very reasonable for the outstanding quality and service we received.

Very welcoming and helpful staff. I really enjoyed the desserts made of “Ashta” and the Lebanese coffee with cardamom. The Arayess and Falafel were also so tasty.

Came to El Gourmet as a recommendation for Lebanese foods and it did not disappoint. I ordered a few take out items and all of it was delicious and prepared fresh to order. The service I received was excellent and will definitely return. They had a huge selection of raw meats and grocery items as well. Ample parking is available

Delicious authentic Lebanese food with an excellent selection in a friendly atmosphere, the kafta and shawarma are excellent and fattoush salad is the best I've ever had. There's also a food market on site, including a butcher, and other food supplies. Staff is very friendly and the menu is varied. Highly recommended and will definitely be back for more.

A supermarket with a restaurant. A fabulous business concept. What makes it unique is its cleanliness, food and customer service. I felt nostalgic as I listened to their beautiful Lebanese music. The lady that serviced us was Itab (3itab) a Syrian lady that came to Canada seeking a better life for her kids. Her customer service was amazing! I watched her service other clients as well, and her smile and friendly manners makes clients feel at ease and willing to explore the many products that the market has. She’s very comfortable explaining their menu and giving recommendations to clients. The Atmosphere of the place is OK just because it’s a mix of market and restaurant makes it get too crowded at times. I do recommend El Gourmet if you are in the Pickering area. Their good food and compatible prices makes it a go to market place with a restaurant.

Wow are we ever happy to have found El Gourmet! Abraham and Maya are so nice and introduced us to foods we had never had before not to mention the best falafel and shawarma I have ever eaten. Unfortunately we missed getting items from the bakery it was all sold out. So getting there early if you are looking for fresh baked bread is a must! We also ordered a coffee and had a pistachio cookie (I can't remember what they called it) but it was great. We ordered our food for take out the presentation for eat in is amazing I just couldn't wait to try it!
They have groceries and a hot table that you can order to go or eat in. The prices are very reasonable. The area to sit down is so cute also.
This is our new go to place, for Lebanese.
